He was a witesmith - who is a worker in white iron (tin plate), a tinsmith, or one who polishes or finishes metal goods, as distinguished from one who forges them.¹ He died on 31 May 1605 in Tenterden, Kent, England.¹ Inventory of his estate was taken. 51 pounds. He had a servant Thomas Glover and a small 'whete' (wheat) farm. His own farm had hens, geese, swine, sheep, three kine and a calf. The shop had iron and steel, a pair of bellows and an anvil.¹
