Isaac Hale1

     Isaac Hale was born on 21 March 1763, in Waterbury, CT.1 He married Elizabeth Lewis, daughter of Nathaniel Lewis and Esther Tuttle, on Monday, 20 September 1790 in Wells, VT.1 After some exploring in Connectiucut and southern New York state, he returned to Vermont and married Elizabeth Lewis, the sister of Nathaniel Lewis, who married about the same time Sarah Cole. The Lewises were descendants of the pilgrim John Howland.2 Isaac and Elizabeth had nine children.2 Isaac Hale died on 11 January 1839 in Harmony, Susquehanna, PA, at age 75.1
