Wilhelm Reinfeld was born in April 1879, in Vienna, Austria, . On the passenger list for his entry into the US he stated that he was born in Jarolsau.2,3 He graduated with a degree in business and became a merchant.2 11 September 1907 Wilhelm traveled to the USA on business. He came on the ship Barbarossa, which departed from Bremen. He was identified as a clerk, and was visiting his sister in New York City at 201 Fort Ave.3 He liked America so much that he wanted Regina (his wife to be) to marry him and move there. However, she loved Vienna and did not want to leave.2 He married Regina Brüll, daughter of Leo Brüll and Helene Stieber, in 1908 in Vienna, Austria.2 Between 1914 and 1918 he volunteered to join the Austrian Army during World War I and became a First Lieutenant in the Austrian Cavalry.2 Wilhelm was injured in the war in Verdun France. He was in a hospital in Steinermanger (Sombately), Hungary, but never recovered from his wounds.2 Wilhelm Reinfeld died in May 1919 in Vienna, Austria, at age 40.2 He was buried at the Zentral-Friedhof in Vienna, Austria.2
