Wilhelm Reinfeld

     Wilhelm Reinfeld was born in April 1879, in Vienna, Austria, . On the passenger list for his entry into the US he stated that he was born in Jarolsau.^2,3 He graduated with a degree in business and became a merchant.² 11 September 1907 Wilhelm traveled to the USA on business. He came on the ship Barbarossa, which departed from Bremen. He was identified as a clerk, and was visiting his sister in New York City at 201 Fort Ave.³ He liked America so much that he wanted Regina (his wife to be) to marry him and move there. However, she loved Vienna and did not want to leave.² He married Regina Brüll, daughter of Leo Brüll and Helene Stieber, in 1908 in Vienna, Austria.² Between 1914 and 1918 he volunteered to join the Austrian Army during World War I and became a First Lieutenant in the Austrian Cavalry.² Wilhelm was injured in the war in Verdun France. He was in a hospital in Steinermanger (Sombately), Hungary, but never recovered from his wounds.² Wilhelm Reinfeld died in May 1919 in Vienna, Austria, at age 40.² He was buried at the Zentral-Friedhof in Vienna, Austria.²
