Edmund Stanley Male was born on 30 November 1888, in Troy, NY.1 Edmund lived in Fair Haven, CT.2 Popsie's oldest sister, Louise, was his first grade teacher. He was very spoiled by his sisters.2 He was a draftsman in a gun shop.3 He married Doris Laura Wooley, daughter of Arthur Wooley and Rosella Hague, on Saturday, 2 March 1918 in Chicopee Falls, MA.1 Edmund lived in Hamden, CT.1 Ed worked somewhere - he was a foreman. A machine was broken that was like a wringer. It flattened out rubber. He went to fix the machine, and it started up, and his hand got caught in the machine. Only his body stopped it; it crushed his whole arm. He was in the hospital with his fingers held up, and all was ok, but he would never have use of his arm; however, infection started in, and they had no penecillin, so they had to amputate the arm. This happened in 1929. When he was ready to go back to work his company fired him because they said he couldn't work as well because he had only one arm.(Phyllis, his edlest daughter, says that isn't true, that he was in management, and he really didn't need his arm) Popsie was a purchasing agent for Mossberg's. He worked there until 3 weeks before he died. When he took the job he (his family) had only $100 left.2 He was a mechanical engineer in the rubber industry.4 He died on 18 September 1957 in New Haven, CT, at age 68.1 The cause of his death was lukemia.1

Dates using 'say' are educated guesses by me.
If I don't know a female last name she will be identified with a 'Mrs' and her husband's name.
MALE or FEMALE means I don't know the first name.
