Levi Sweetland was born on 2 June 1789.¹ Father: Levi Sweetland of Coventry, CT - Mother: Ruth Richardson.¹ He married Electa Kingsbury, daughter of Joseph Kingsbury and Lois Porter, on Thursday, 8 March 1810.¹ Levi and Electa had five children.¹ Electa died on 6 December 1848 at age 57 leaving him a widower at age 59.¹ Levi Sweetland died on 9 May 1851 at age 61.¹ The cause of his death was suicide.¹
