Francis Brewster was born say 1597.1 He married Mrs Lucy (Unknown) Brewster say 1622.1 Francis was a chirurgeon (?) of New Haven. One of the wealthier men in New Haven Colony. Francis lived in New Haven, CT. He was a merchant. Francis had arrived in New Haven by 1641. His household consisted of 9 persons. He was probably a large owner of the ill-fated 'Great Ship' (under Captain Lamberton). He was a man of large estate, dignified with prefix of respect ('Mr'). He died in 1646 at sea on a voyage from New Haven to England on the so-called 'Phantom Ship.2' Inventory of his estate was taken. It was 555 £.
