     Mrs Lucy (Unknown) Brewster was born say 1602.1 She married Francis Brewster, son of Francis Brewster, say 1622.1 Lucy lived in New Haven, CT. Her husband Francis died in 1646 leaving her a widow.2 Lucy was tried and fined in 1646 for offensive remarks. She referred to her Pastor in England and a neighbor Mrs. Bennett cast out of the church there. She had evidently lived in Mass Bay before coming to New Haven. Mrs Lucy (Unknown) Brewster married Thomas Pell in 1647. Edward Parker said Mrs. Brewster 'had a notable pate'. In 1654 Mrs. Pell and her daughters Elizabeth and Mary were witnesses in that cause celebre, the Staples suit against Mrs. Ludlow.
