     Nehemiah Olmstead was baptized on 10 November 1618 in Fairstead, Essex, England.3 Nicholas and Nehemiah Olmstead and their cousins, Richard, Rebecca and John (children of Richard), came to New England in the"Lion" in1632.[Ernest Flagg, Genealogical Notes on the Founding of New England, Hartford, Connecticut, 1926]4 He immigrated on the ship Lyon, with Captain Pierce on 22 June 1632 with his father WM.5 He married Elizabeth Burr, daughter of Jehu Burr, in 1642 in Fairfield, CT.6 Nehemiah Olmstead died on 2 October 1657 in Fairfield, CT, at age 38.7
