     Alpheus Bemis was born on 19 January 1784, in Paxton, MA.1 He married Polly Prouty on Monday, 12 August 1805 in Spencer, MA.1 Alpheus had eight children.1 He died on 28 August 1859 in Paxton, MA, at age 75.1
