     Belinda Rockwell was born on 26 February 1832, in Ridgebury, CT. Her mother Adelia died on 10 November 1839 in Ridgebury, CT. Belinda was only 7 years old. Her father remarried shortly afterwards. Belinda Rockwell married Edward Mitchell Townsend, son of Daniel Youngs Townsend and Sarah Titus, on Tuesday, 31 May 1853 in New York City, NY, Edward and Belinda were seventh cousins. Belinda lived in Oyster Bay, Long Island, NY. She died on 13 April 1882 in Oyster Bay, Long Island, NY, at age 50. She was buried at Youngs Cemetery in Oyster Bay, Long Island, NY.2
