John Rockwell was born in 1706, in Norwalk, CT. He married Elizabeth Keeler, daughter of Joseph Keeler and Elizabeth Whitney, on Monday, 3 September 1731. In say 1748 John and Elizabeth moved to Ridgebury, CT. John was one of the 18 constituent members of the Congregational Church of Ridgebury Society (Second church of Ridgefield) organized 18 Jan 1769. He and Jabish Smith were first deacons chosen 8 Mar 1770 (called Ensign then). His farm lay adjoining the colony line. John Rockwell married Esther Hollebert on Wednesday, 22 November 1769 in Ridgefield, CT. John Rockwell died on 4 July 1773 in Ridgebury, CT.
