     Ralza Morse Manley was born on 16 January 1822, in Dorset, Vermont.1 He graduated from Wesleyan University in Wesleyan, CT.2 He was a Methodist clergyman.3 He married Sarah Bemis Wright on Wednesday, 16 August 1848 in Leicester, Vermont.1 Ralza and Sarah lived in Poultney, Vermont, at the school - the Troy Conference Academy.3 Ralza Morse Manley was the 10th Principal of the Troy Conference Academy in Poultney, Vermont. After he left there he became Principal of an Academy at Randolph, Virginia, and later an Academy at Richmond, Virginia.2 He was in the military during the Civil War as a chaplin.2 As of 1870 Ralza and Sarah lived in Richamond, Virginia.4 Ralza Morse Manley was a teacher at Wellesley College in the 1880s.1 He married Mary Louisa Patterson on Tuesday, 15 July 1884.1 Ralza Morse Manley died on 16 September 1897 in San Diego, CA, at age 75.1
