He graduated from Yale University in New Haven, CT, in 1892 with a degree in business.1 He married Emilie Theresa Firth on Saturday, 28 January 1905 in South Orange, NJ.2,3,4,5 Howard Rockwell Townsend was a dry goods dealer and later became a wholesale dealer.61 He died in 1939.7
