     Francis Merlin Dimmick was born on 14 November 1922, in Fillmore, Utah.1,2 He enlisted in the military on 15 December 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the army. He was a Major in the US Army Air Forces. He was discharged on 16 Oct 1945 in Fort Douglas, Utah with a rank of F/O.2,3 He married Lois Ione Michelson say 1947.1,4 Francis Merlin Dimmick died on 18 March 2002 in Novato, California, at age 79.5 He was buried at the Valley Memorial Park in Novato, CA.3
