     William Scovill was born on 20 May 1766, in Waterbury, CT.1,2 He married Elizabeth Byles, daughter of Mather Byles and Rebecca Walter, in 1807.3 William Scovill married Ann Davis on Monday, 4 July 1814 in England.4 William and Ann had one child.5 William served his government in the Commissary Department and had a government pension as a retired officer during the later years of his life. He left a considerable estate.5 William Scovill died on 27 April 1851 at age 84.4
