     Harriet Barton Scovil was born in 1918.1 She married Howard Rockwell Townsend, son of Howard Rockwell Townsend and Emilie Theresa Firth, on Monday, 3 July 1950 in New Harbor, Maine.2 Howdie and Harriet founded the Peter Piper School in Brookfield Center, CT, a nursery school. Harriet Barton Scovil died in July 2010 in Miami, Florida.3
