Daniel Rockwell was born on 27 February 1735/36, in Ridgefield, CT. He married Abigail Smith, daughter of Jabez Smith and Ruth Seymour, on Tuesday, 18 December 1759 in Ridgefield, CT, Daniel and Abigail were married by Rev. Jonathan Ingersoll. Daniel Rockwell died on 13 June 1795 at Mopoos Bogs in Ridgebury, CT, at age 59. 18 Apr 1796 his estate was distributed as follows: To Abigail his widow, Silas his oldest son, Daniel his second son, Caleb his third son, Martin the fourth and youngest soon, to Ruth Rockwell Andrews and Betty Rockwell (Town Records).
