     Herbert William Dutton was born on 26 August 1881, in Springfield, Vermont.1 Father: Perrin Smith Dutton (b 18 May 1834 Rockingham, Vermont) - Mother: Sybil Dartt (b 27 Feb 1842).1 He married Lillie Mae Felch, daughter of Allen Downing Felch and Eliza Belle Gardner, on Wednesday, 27 August 1902 in Springfield, Vermont.1 Herbert and Lillie forgot their wedding certificate on their honeymoon, and had problems because they looked so young. When they stopped at an inn, probably because they couldn't make it in one night to the Felch home in Newbury, they had to call back to Springfield to verify the marriage.1 Herbert William Dutton was a farmer1 and also a mail carrier.1 3 August 1932 Herbert married Mrs. Clara Atwood (Clara Beatrice Maxham), a widow, b in Pomfret Vermont. They were divorced on 30 Jun 1941.2,1 20 April 1942 in Springfield, Vermont, Herbert married Mrs Clara Blodgett Egan (Blara Blodgett), a nurse, born in Stratford, New Hampshire.2 1947 the selectmen of Springfield chose him as one of ten members of a committee to produce a second volume history of the town.1 He died on 31 March 1967 in Springfield, Vermont, at age 85.1
