     Nathaniel Backus was born on 15 April 1669, in Norwich, CT.1 Father: William Backus (b 23 Nov 1634 Sheffield, Yorkshire, England) - Mother: Elizabeth Pratt (b 1 Feb 1640/41 Hartford, CT).1 He married Elizabeth Tracy on Friday, 7 July 1702 in Norwich, CT.2 Nathaniel and Elizabeth had five children.1 Nathaniel Backus died on 16 August 1728 in Norwich, CT, at age 59.1
