     Russell Sargent was born on 31 August 1864, in New Haven, CT. He graduated from Yale Sheffield Scientific School in New Haven, CT, in 1884. He married Margaret Berrien Motte, daughter of Ellis Loring Motte and Annie Louise Lobdell, on Thursday, 19 April 1894. Russell Sargent was engaged in the manufacture of hardware (Sargent & Co).1 He died on 16 April 1904 in Boston, MA, at age 39. He was buried at the Evergreen Cemetery in New Haven, CT.2
