     Charles Forbes Sargent was born on 13 June 1898, in New Haven, CT. He graduated from Yale University in New Haven, CT, in 1920. He married Elizabeth Wanning Day on Saturday, 7 October 1922. 30 June 1944 Forbes was elected president of Sargent & C. He had been employed there since his graduation from Yale in 1920. Charles and Elizabeth were divorced before 1949. Charles Forbes Sargent married Ellen Smedley on Wednesday, 2 November 1949 in Southbury, CT. Charles Forbes Sargent died on 26 December 1985 in North Branford, CT, at age 87.1,2 He was buried at the Evergreen Cemetery in New Haven, CT.3
