Timothy Stanley was born on 1 April 1604, in Tenterden, Kent, England.^3,1 He immigrated on the ship Planter in 1634 to Boston, MA.⁴ He married Elizabeth Morrice circa 1636 in Hartford, CT.⁵ Timothy Stanley died on 30 April 1648 in Hartford, CT, at age 44.¹ He left a will dated 16 October 1648. "His will affords a vivid glimpse of the manner of living among well-to-do people of the day." In 1659 Timothy moved to Hadley, MA, He was a man of dignity and good substance.
