David Collier Sargent

     David Collier Sargent was born on 1 December 1915, in CT.^1,2 He graduated from Philips Andover Academy in Andover, MA, in 1934.³ He graduated from Yale University in New Haven, CT, in 1938 where he was a member of Book and Snake.^3,4 He was employed by Travelers Insurance Company in 1939 in Hartford, CT.³ He was in the army on 10 December 1941 as a Captain in the Corps of Engineers.³ He married Jean Thompson on Saturday, 20 October 1945 in Hartford, CT.⁵ He was an avid naturalist and supporter of the Nature Conservancy.³ He donated his property in Greenwich CT to the land trust (probably for Yale University) - note written by John Moffat Sargent.⁶ David Collier Sargent died on 7 July 2007 in Essex, CT, at age 91.² An obituary was published in the Hartford Courant, in Hartford, CT, on 15 July 2007.
