John Brockett

     John Brockett was born in 1609, in England. He immigrated on the ship John arrived probably in the ship "Hector" with Rev. John Davenport and Governor Theophilus Eaton. in 1637. John lived in New Haven, CT. He was a surveyor and a surgeon. 1654 He served as surgeon attending soldiers who were to cooperate with the fleet sent by Cromwell against the hostile intentions of the Dutch on the Hudson River. He served on many committees regarding Indian and Colonial matters. He was surgeon to CT troops during King Philip's War. John lived in Wallingford, CT. He died on 12 March 1689/90 in Wallingford, CT.
