John Root was born on 26 February 1607/8, in Badby, Northamptonshire, England. John immigrated in 1640 to Farmington, CT, After his arrival he came to Farmington in 1640. He married Mary Kilbourne, daughter of Thomas Kilbourne and Frances Moody, on Tuesday, 10 January 1640 in Farmington, CT.1 John lived in Farmington, CT. He died on 24 September 1687 in Farmington, CT, at age 79.1
