William Lamson was born say 1617, in England William was born probably in Essex County in England.1 William immigrated in 1634 William arrived in 1634 with the ships set out by Matthew Cradock, who was the first governor of Mass (Matthew never came to New England even though he was the governor. He transferred government of the settlement to the settlement in 1629.) Matthew sent out the ships to establish fishing and trading posts on the Atlantic. He married Sarah Ayers, daughter of John Ayers and Hannah Evered, in 1640 in Ipswich, MA.2 William Lamson died circa 1 January 1658/59 in Ipswich, MA. Inventory of his estate was taken. valued at 111 pounds 10.2 - a considerable fortune at that time.
