Mercy Schellinger was born on 4 November 1699, in Amagansett, East Hampton, Long Island, NY. She married Samuel Baker, son of Thomas Baker and Elizabeth Westover, on Saturday, 18 October 1721. Mercy and Samuel had seven children.1 Mercy Schellinger died on 25 August 1749 in Branford, CT, at age 49.1
