Henry Gregory

     Henry Gregory was born say 1590, in England.¹ As of 1645 Henry lived in Springfield, MA. He was a shoemaker. His workmanship was complained of in 1647. At that time he was spoken of as an old man. in Stratford, CT. As of 1647 Henry lived in Stratford, CT. William Gregory of Nottingham England Gent, in his will 18 Jun 1650 proved 5 Feb 1651 gave a legacy to his brother Henry Gregory and 5 pounds to each of Henry's children, except 10 pounds to "my Cousin Perrie, my said brother Henry's daughter". they being now in New England (but apparently the last statement does not apply to Cousin Perrie). He died on 4 June 1655 in Stratford, CT.² Inventory of his estate was taken on 19 June 1655. Inventory taken 19 Jun 1655. It was taken by John Welles and Thomas Fairchild.
