John Rockwell was born on 12 May 1734, in Ridgefield, CT. He married Hannah Scott, daughter of James Scott and Hannah Hyatt, on Tuesday, 16 April 1754 in Ridgefield, CT. John Rockwell was a farmer and a shoemaker. He married Sally Rice in 1777.1 John married as his third wife a French lady in Lower Canada. When he died he was living with his son John. John Rockwell died on 6 September 1825 in Cornwall, VT, at age 91.
