John Strong was born on 24 June 1733, in Windsor, CT.1 He was a farmer in Torrington, CT.1 He married Sarah Strong on Tuesday, 1 August 1758.1 John Strong married Mercy Newall, daughter of Isaac Newell and Rachel Pomeroy, on Wednesday, 15 November 1769.1 John Strong was in the military in 1776 in the Revolutionary War. He was a Colonel.1,2 He married Annie Beecher on Tuesday, 28 November 1786.1 John Strong died on 16 November 1816 in Farmington, CT, at age 83.1
