     Eleanor Root Silliman was born on 26 August 1856, in New Haven, CT.1 In 1880 Eleanor attended Yale Art School in New Haven, CT.2 She married William Arthur Rogers in 1884.2 Eleanor and William had three children.2 Between 1913 and 1921 Eleanor was a Trustee of Buffalo General Hospital. She was Director of the 20th Century Club, a Member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Women Managers for the Pan American Exposition held in Buffalo in 1901 and a Charter Member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). The First Presbyterian Church on Symphony Circle houses a plaque honoring both William & Eleanor Rogers for their support.2 Eleanor Root Silliman died on 11 July 1930 in Buffalo, NY, at age 73.2
