     Charlotte Antoinette Root was born on 9 February 1798, in Southington, CT. She married William Jehiel Forbes, son of Jehiel Forbes and Huldah Bradley, on Monday, 22 September 1817 in CT.1 Charlotte lived in New Haven, CT. Her husband William died on 20 December 1839 in New Haven, CT, at age 45 leaving her a widow. Her daughter-in-law, Charles' wife Mary died on 28 January 1866 in Brooklyn, NY. Charlotte Antoinette Root died on 5 May 1888 in New Haven, CT, at age 90.2 She was buried at Grove Street Cemetery in New Haven, CT.3
