Joses Bucknam was born in January 1666/67, in Malden, MA.1 He married Hannah Peabody, daughter of John Peabody and Hannah Andrews, on Saturday, 24 February 1690/91. Joses and Hannah lived in Malden, MA. Joses Bucknam left a will dated 8 April 1736.2 He died on 5 April 1741 in Malden, MA, at age 74.1 The will of Joses was proved 27 April 1741. He mentions his wife Hannah, to whom received the house and ample supplies of food and wood for her sustenance as long as "she shall continue in my name"--she also received the great Bible and silver tankard; his sons Joseph and Nathan (who received "his negro man Pomps"; his daughters Hannah Sargeant, Judith Perkins, Ruth Richardson, Martha Bucknam and Elizabeth Bucknam, and his grandchildren James Barrett and Mary Barrett. (Middlesex Probate #3392).2
