Daniel Whittemore was born on 28 February 1689/90, in Malden, MA. He married Mary Chamberlin, daughter of John Chamberlin and Mrs Hannah Chamberlin, on Sunday, 22 January 1718/19 in Rumney Marsh (Chelsea), MA. Daniel Whittemore was 1 wheelwright and a yeoman. He left a will dated 17 March 1770. The witnesses were Jonathan Green, John Bucknam and John Nickols. It was allowed, 13 Aug 1771, with executors; Daniel and Joseph Whittemore, and sureties; John Bucknam and John Nickols, yeomen of Malden. Daniel's whole estate was devised to his sons; Daniel and Joseph, in equal halves, they to pay the following bequests: "To daughter Lydia Collins, 20 pounds; to daughter Phebe Richardson, 20 pounds; to the children of daughter Hannah Sargeant, deceased, 20 pounds; Daniel to pay legacies to grandchildren; Joseph to pay legacies to children" (Middlesex Probate #24782). He died on 25 July 1771 in Malden, MA, at age 81.
