     Ira Abell was born on 18 September 1765, in Norwich, CT.1 Father: Simon Abell (b 15 Sep 1721 Norwich, CT) - Mother: Parnel Willes (b 4 Mar 1723 Norwich, CT).1 He married Abigail Hyde, daughter of Joseph Hyde and Abigail Abell, on Tuesday, 28 October 1794 in Franklin, CT.1 Ira Abell died on 1 June 1834 in Franklin, CT, at age 68.1
