     Roswell Austin was born on 23 March 1765, in Torrington, CT.1 Father: Aaron Austin - Mother: Elizabeth Spencer. Another source ( 660) said Father: Eliphalet Austin - Mother: Sibyl Dudley.1,2 He was a farmer in Austinburgh, Ohio.2 He married Mercy Pomeroy Strong, daughter of John Strong and Mercy Newall, say 1790.1,3 Roswell and Mercy had six children.2 Roswell Austin died in January 1868 at age 102.1,4
