     Susan Huldah Forbes was born on 6 March 1819, in New Haven, CT. She married Benjamin Silliman on Tuesday, 19 May 1840 in New Haven, CT.1 Her sister-in-law Mary died on 28 January 1866 in Brooklyn, NY. She brought up her brother Charles' daughter Alice Bessie Forbes when his wife Mary Acker Alvord Forbes died.2 Susan Huldah Forbes died on 26 March 1878 in New Haven, CT, at age 59.
