James Green was born in 1610.1 James was an inhabitant of Charlestown by 1634. He was admitted to the church in 1646/47.2 He married Elizabeth Newman say 1637.2,3 1638 he had 25 acres of land in Charlestown. James was admitted freeman in 1647 in Malden, MA. In court files says he is age 50 in 1660. Benjamin Webb was a servant of James Green. James was literate (he signed his name in the Charlestown records). He was a husbandman. He died on 29 March 1687.1
