Catherine Henshaw Denny was born on 28 July 1801, in Leicester, MA.⁴ An alternative spelling of her name was Katharine.⁵ She married Otis Sprague, son of William Sprague and Sarah Sargent, in January 1821 in Leicester, MA.^1,5 Catherine Henshaw Denny died on 31 March 1877 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at age 75.³
