     Asa Baldwin was born on 27 August 1723, in Hingham, MA. He married Abigail Draper, daughter of James Draper and Abigail Child, on Saturday, 7 March 1749/50 in Spencer, MA.2 Asa lived in Spencer, MA. "Gentleman of respectability" often chosen to town offices. member of the Committee of Correspondence which was organized when meetings of the legislature (General Court) were prohibited by the English Government. Officer in the Revolutionary War and Major in the Militia. Town Offices: assessor and selectman many times. Asa served on the Committee of Correspondence and in the Worcester county regiment under Col. Samuel Denny.3 He died on 23 April 1811 in Spencer, MA, at age 87.
