Stephen Root was born on 18 March 1711, in Farmington, CT.1 He married Sarah Hart, daughter of John Hart and Esther Gridley, on Tuesday, 19 January 1740.1 Stephen and Sarah had three children.1 Stephen Root died on 5 September 1752 at age 41.1
