Joseph Upson was born on 5 May 1750, in Waterbury, CT.2 He married Anne Bronson, daughter of Thomas Bronson and Anna Hopkins, on Sunday, 3 February 1771 in Waterbury, CT.3,2 Joseph and Anne had seven children.1 Joseph Upson died on 21 December 1835 in Newburgh, Ohio, at age 85.1
