Isaac Dimmick was born on 18 March 1782, in Mansfield, CT.² An alternative spelling of his name was Dimick.² He married Esther Woodward on Thursday, 12 April 1810.² Isaac Dimmick was a teacher and a Judge. He had considerable land and wealth.³ He was a colonel in the War of 1812.³ He married Clarissa Norton in October 1822 in PA.⁴ In 1833 Isaac moved to Vermillionville, Illinois, with his family. He established a town and church.³ He was a farmer.¹ He died on 26 March 1873 in Ottawa, Illinois, at age 91.³
