Isaac Dimmick was born on 18 March 1782, in Mansfield, CT.2 An alternative spelling of his name was Dimick.2 He married Esther Woodward on Thursday, 12 April 1810.2 Isaac Dimmick was a teacher and a Judge. He had considerable land and wealth.3 He was a colonel in the War of 1812.3 He married Clarissa Norton in October 1822 in PA.4 In 1833 Isaac moved to Vermillionville, Illinois, with his family. He established a town and church.3 He was a farmer.1 He died on 26 March 1873 in Ottawa, Illinois, at age 91.3
