Thomas Root was baptized on 16 January 1604/5 in Badby, Northamptonshire, England, I don't know whether this is corret or the birth record is correct.2 He was born on 26 February 1608, in Badby, Northamptonshire, England.1 Thomas was one of the original founders of Hartford, CT.3 He married Mrs Elizabeth Root on Thursday, 23 December 1638 in Hartford, CT.1 Thomas Root was a farmer and a weaver.3 One of the original founders of Northampton, MA. His home lot was on the easterly side of Pleasant Street, below what is now Pearl Street. The old Root homestead was on King Street, opposite where the Roman Catholic Church once stood. (King Street turns into Pleasant Street 2008).3 Thomas and Elizabeth had seven children.1 Thomas Root died on 17 June 1694 in Northampton, MA, at age 86.1 He was buried on July 1694 in Northampton, MA.1
