John Foote was born on 24 August 1742, in Watertown, CT.1 He married Esther Mattoon, daughter of David Mattoon and Phebe Curtis, on Thursday, 26 July 1764 in Waterbury, CT.2 John Foote married Mary Peck, daughter of Gideon Peck and Mary Bronson, on Thursday, 20 July 1769 in Waterbury, CT. He served in the American Revolution; was a captain. John Foote died on 5 July 1809 at age 66.
