  • Alene married Lawrence Smith Dimick, son of Sylvan Lorenzo Dimick and Laura Ann Smith, on 14 August 1935 in San Francisco, California.2
  • Her husband Lawrence Smith Dimick died leaving her a widow at age 52.2
  • On 16 January 1976 Alene married Edwin Hardee.1
  • She devoted many hours of volunteer work as a 'pink lady' at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah.1
  • Alene Stewart died on 9 July 1995 in Provo, Utah, at age 76.1
  • She was survived by 4 children, 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.1

DEATH: ALENE DIMICK HARDEE

Published: Tuesday, July 11, 1995 12:00 a.m. MDT

Alene Stewart Dimick Hardee, 76, of Orem, died July 9, 1995 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, Provo.

She was born August 16, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of Chancey Loren and Cristie Lavera Christensen Stewart. She married Lawrence Smith Dimick, August 14, 1935 in San Francisco, Calif. He died March 9, 1969. Alene married Edwin Hardee, January 16, 1976 in Elko, Nevada. He died March 9, 1992.She was an active member of the LDS church. Alene devoted many hours of volunteer work as a "pink lady" at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo. Her greatest love in life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Larry D. and Doris Dimick, Mrs. Lloyd L. (Lee) Orvin, Michael and Eileen Dimick, and Mrs. Lynn (Shauna) Rowley; 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Owen Stewart and Melvin Stewart.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 13, 1995 at 12 noon in the Cherry Hill 4th Ward Chapel, 1650 South 200 East in Orem. Friends may call Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State St. in Orem, and also one hour prior to services at the ward chapel on Thursday. Interment will take place in the Orem City Cemetery.1
