John Daniel Reidy Jr., 18, of RD2, Mansfield, died Sunday, March 28, 1982, of injuries sustained in a one-car accident on Route 15 at Canada Road, Covington. Born Oct. 26, 1963 in Elmira, NY, he was the son of John and Linda Johnson Reidy, Sr. He was employed by Pudgies Pizza, Mansfield, and had attended Mansfield High School.

Surviving are: his parents, John and Linda Reidy, Sr., of RD2 Mansfield; one sister, Aleisha, at home; paternal grandfather, Daniel J. Reidy; and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Idalene Richards, both of Elmira, NY; two aunts, Mrs. Paul [Sandra] Herbert and Mrs. Sharon Reidy, both of Elmira, NY; two uncles, Donald L. and Joseph Reidy, both of Elmira; two great-uncles, Donald A. Wilcox of Tyrone, NY, and Bert Wilcox of Elmira.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, March 31, at Holy child Catholic Church, Mansfield, with Father Thomas Maloney, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY. Friends were invited to call at the Kuhl Funeral Home, Mansfield, from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Aleisha Lynn Reidy, 19, of RD2 Box 59, Mansfield died Wednesday Nov. 28, 1984 as the result of injuries she sustained in a two car 8:20 p.m. accident on Route 6, Charleston Township, Tioga County. Born Oct. 26, 1965 in Elmira, NY, she was the daughter of John D. and Linda Johnson Reidy, Sr.

A June 1984 graduate of Mansfield Junior Senior High School. Aleisha was very active in sports and was named Woman Athlete of the Year for 1984. A freshman at Mansfield University Aleisha was planning to marry her fiancé, Todd D Tice of RD Mansfield in June 1985. She was a member of the Covington Baptist Church. Her brother, John D. Reidy Jr. died at the age of 18 on March 28, 1982 as the result of injuries he sustained in a car accident.

Surviving are her mother, Linda Johnson Reidy of RD2 Mansfield; her father, John D. Reidy Sr. of Millerton; maternal grandparents, Mrs. Otto [Idalene Johnson] Richards of Elmira, NY and Clarence W. Johnson of Mansfield, PA; paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Daniel J. Reidy Jr. of Elmira, NY; two aunts, Mrs. Becky Lynn Besosa of Venice, Florida and Mrs. Paul [Sandra] Herbert of Elmira, NY; three uncles, Gordon Johnson of Sarasota, Florida, Donald L. Reidy and Joseph A. Reidy, both of Horseheads, NY; several great aunts and uncles and paternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Marie Wilcox of Horseheads, NY.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 1984 at the Covington Baptist Church with Rev. John R. Truax, her pastor, officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY. Friends were invited to call at the Kuhl Funeral Home, Mansfield from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday Nov. 30.1

An obituary was published

Blake Michael Besosa, 61, of Franklin, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 25, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 3, 1961, in Brooklyn, New York, the son of the late Robert Michael Besosa and Becky Lynn Johnson Besosa.

Blake served as the Manager of the Publix Meat Department for 30 years until his retirement in 2014. Following retirement, Blake opened Besosa's Deer Processing and operated it for five years before working for SLM Recycling and Harman Turf Farms. He was a loving husband, a supportive father, and a proud Poppi. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his mother, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 33 years, Kimberly Ann Blackburn Besosa; children, Sarah & Chase Carroll, Rebekah & Cole Smith, and Dylan & Marianna Besosa; grandchildren, Tripp Carroll, Amelia Carroll, Bennett Smith, and Hank Besosa; brothers & sisters-in-law, Brent & Kathy Besosa and Robb & Mary Besosa; sister & brother-in-law, Cherise & David Herbert; father-in-law & mother-in-law, George & Judy Blackburn; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Doug & Karen Blackburn, and Sheri & Kevin Wicker; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Blake's wishes, his body will be cremated, and the family will hold a memorial service at their home in the coming months.

Martin and Hightower Heritage Chapel has charge of the arrangements.1
