Dorothy Young Pixton Souter,age 77, passed away on July 3, 2001 at the LDS Hospital of complications from a brain aneurysm.
Born May 13, 1924 in Perry, Utah to Isaac A. and Elzada N. Young. One of ten children. Graduate of Box Elder High School in Brigham City, graduate of Weber State College Dental Assistant course in Ogden, Utah.
Married Richard G. Pixton on June 4, 1945, widowed March 2, 1953. Married Wallace L. Souter, September 20, 1956. Wallace preceded her in death on October 22,1964. She lived in Perry, Brigham City, Clearfield, and Logan, Utah.
Dorothy liked being outdoors tending her garden, doing yard work, and taking daily walks. She loved old movies, music, reading, crossword puzzles and gameshows. She enjoyed dining out & socializing with her family and friends. Active in the LDS Church and especially enjoyed teaching Primary.
She is survived by her children, Richard Young Pixton(Pam), Carol Jeanne Pixton Ashby (Dennis), Craig Dean Pixton (Linda), Boyd Kirk Pixton (Barbara), Kent Wallace Souter (Dixene) Lezlie Souter-Durrant (Larry); 42 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren. Surviving brothers and sister: Mary Young Stokes, Willard Dean Young (Doris), J. Lowell Young (Ruth Ann), Moylen Young (Delaine), Grant D. Young (Nola). Preceded in death by her father and mother; three sisters and one brother; Alice Young (infant), Florence Wight, Janet Johnston, Vaughn Young and one grandson, Clark Henry Pixton.

Viewing and services to be held at the Cliffside 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, 1350 Eastridge Drive, Logan, Utah on July 7, 2001. Viewing from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. Funeral service starts at 12 Noon. Interment at Brigham City Cemetery.
