An obituary was published

Lawrence (Larry) Herbst, age 85, of Dothan, AL, passed away, Sunday, June 9, 2013 at his home.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 11th at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Pastor Mark Kohsis officiating. Burial will follow with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until 1:30 P.M.

Mr. Herbst was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy.

Survivors include his wife, Christine P. Herbst, Dothan, AL; daughter, Susan F. Akins (Bill) Marbury, AL; sons, Dwight L. French, Reno, NV; Robert R. French (Linda) Antrim NH; nieces, Charlene Vogt, Atlanta, GA; Mary Anne Dillingham, Webberville, MI; Leslie Jean Herbst Crampton, Fowlerville, MI; Mary Carr Herbst Reisedge, Brighton MI; nephews, James Vogt (Anne), Kalamazoo, MI; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 great-nieces; 1great-nephew.
