OGDEN - Our dear mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Betty H. Lovell Siddoway, 88, died with dignity and peace on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Apple Village in Layton from complications of Parkinson's disease.
She was born August 5, 1919 in Ogden, a daughter of Walter Campbell and Eliza Hall Higgins.
Betty married Walter James Lovell on May 7, 1939 in Ogden. He preceded her in death December 22, 1967. In April of 1977, Betty married James Siddoway in St. George. James died in May of 2004.
She was raised and educated in Ogden, graduating from Ogden High School in 1937. She lived in Teton, Idaho for 27 years, returning to Ogden in 2004.
Betty was a lifelong Presbyterian.
She was a dress buyer for the Fred M. Nye Company.
Betty was a member of P.E.O. Chapter L in St. Anthony, Idaho and Chapter M in Ogden. She enjoyed needlepoint, playing bridge, and most of all, she loved people.
Surviving are one son and one daughter, Richard J. (Nikki) Lovell, Ogden; Lynda Lovell Miner, Bountiful; one step-son and one step-daughter, James (Bernice) Siddoway, Teton, ID; Linda (Scott) Borreson, Idaho Falls, ID; four grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, eight great-grand-children and ten step-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Jessie Power, Santa Monica, CA; Marie Bartlett, Ogden; and many dear friends and relatives in Idaho.
Preceding Betty in death were her parents, both husbands and two brothers, John and Leonard Higgins.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Ogden, 880 -28th Street, with Donna McGill officiating.
Friends may call at the Church on Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
